Information You Provide
When you create an account and use FlickTimer, we collect:
- Full name — provided at signup
- Email address — used for account authentication and consequence confirmation emails
- Password — stored in encrypted form via Supabase Auth; FlickTimer never has access to your plain-text password
- Payment method — your card details are collected and stored securely by Stripe, our payment processor. FlickTimer never stores your full card number, CVV, or expiration date on our servers. We only store a reference ID and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes.
Information Generated by Your Use
- Session data — task names, durations, consequence amounts, and session outcomes (completed or failed)
- Consequence records — amounts charged, dates, and destination allocations
- Timestamps — when sessions are started, confirmed, or when consequences fire
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your location
- We do not collect biometric data
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to advertisers
- We do not collect data from social media accounts
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Run the timer and consequence engine
- Send consequence confirmation emails when your timer expires
- Process payments via Stripe when a consequence fires
- Display your session history and account settings
- Respond to support requests
- Monitor for fraud and abuse
- Improve the Service
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
- Stripe — processes all payments. Your card data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication system. Data is stored in the United States (North Virginia region).
- Resend — delivers transactional emails (confirmation emails, consequence notifications). Your email address is shared with Resend solely for this purpose.
- Vercel — hosts our application. Your requests pass through Vercel’s infrastructure.
- Sentry — monitors for application errors. Error reports may contain limited technical information but do not include your payment data.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FlickTimer, our users, or others.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account:
- Your profile information is deleted within 30 days
- Session and consequence records may be retained for up to 12 months for financial record-keeping purposes
- Payment records are retained as required by law and Stripe’s data retention policies

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across all pages
- Passwords hashed and never stored in plain text
- Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe — PCI DSS compliant
- Database access restricted to authorized systems only
- Error monitoring via Sentry to detect and respond to issues quickly
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability — request your session data in a portable format
